The AURA Dining Table began with a simple idea — to create a generous table with presence, beautiful proportions and a form that would stand the test of time.
Made locally in Cape Town, AURA is part of our growing collection of made-to-order furniture at MADE HOME. Its long timber top, substantial supports and central stretcher give the table its distinctive architectural character.

A study in proportion
A dining table has a way of anchoring a room. More than almost any other piece of furniture, its scale and proportion influence how the space around it feels.
With AURA, the beauty lies in the balance. The substantial timber top is grounded by a series of solid supports, while the long central stretcher gives the base strength and a quiet architectural rhythm.
There is detail in the construction, but simplicity in the finished form — allowing the natural character of the timber to take centre stage.
Made for the space
One of the things we love about made-to-order furniture is the freedom to respond to the room rather than asking the room to accommodate the furniture.
AURA can be made in different lengths and timber finishes, allowing the proportions of the table to be tailored to the space, the number of people gathered around it and the way the room is lived in.
From the workshop
There is something special about seeing a piece before the final finish is applied.
Here, AURA is taking shape in our Cape Town factory, with the construction, grain and natural warmth of the timber still completely exposed.
